The UK is home to a number of celebrities which range from musicians and writers to sports stars, comedians and film stars. After reading an article about the most famous UK pensioners it gave us some inspiration to look at some of our favorite celebrities that come from the UK.

Gordon Ramsay is a well-known chef and restauranteur, as well as an author and television personality. His cooking demonstrations attract a sizable audience. His namesake restaurant can be found in the Chelsea neighborhood. Previous statements made by Ramsay have demonstrated his disdain for vegetarianism and veganism.

Alan Rickman is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished stage and screen actors in the United Kingdom. The late actor’s filmography includes Die Hard, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and Rasputin: Dark Servant of Fate. This actor has also appeared in Harry Potter and Truly, Madly, Deeply, amongst other works.

Dua Lipa began her career when she was just 14 years old by posting cover songs to YouTube. Ed Sheeran is an accomplished musician who writes songs as well. Record sales were achieved with his third album’s singles “Castle on the Hill” and “Shape of You.” Because he has sold over 150 million copies, he is considered to be one of the most successful musicians in the world.

Because of her performance in “Game of Thrones,” Emilia Clarke has garnered praise and recognition worldwide. She has a role in Solo: A Star Wars Story, and Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people of 2019.

This Hollywood A-lister and sex symbol was born in the United Kingdom and initially became popular in the film The Devil Wears Prada. Emily Blunt has been successful in the marketplace and in the eyes of the critics, and she is currently married to John Krasinski.
J.K. Rowling
A shining example of success is J.K. Rowling. She is the author of the Harry Potter series of books which have become the most successful book series ever published. She publishes her works of crime fiction under a pseudonym. Rowling is an advocate for various topics and is the founder of an organization that helps children.
